One of the most beautiful places to stay in the capital of Bashkortostan is considered the garden of culture and rest of S. T. Aksakov, named after the Russian writer. In the late eighteenth century the Park was owned by the parents of the writer, here in 1791 and was born Sergey Timofeyevich.
Aksakov garden was formerly known as Pigeon Sloboda, here stood the mansion, outbuildings and fertile garden. After the revolution, private estate was transferred to the city, and in 1969 part of the garden took to construct the plant, after which the people tried to ignore the noisy and uncomfortable place. In the early 1990s launched and places wetland Park started improving. Planted new trees, tiled sidewalks and cleaned the pond led to the desired effect and, since 2002, the Park of culture and leisure. S. T. Aksakov has repeatedly been voted the best Park in Ufa.
Nowadays the Park is limited to the streets of Pushkin, Z. Validi, tsyurupy and Novomoskovs. The Park has a Playground, a cosy café, a swim in the lake graceful swans and ducks.
