The unusual monument was erected in Ufa in November 2007 near the center of Commerce and entertainment "World." The sculpture, made of bronze, represents the worker-janitor. The monument, weighing in at three hundred pounds, made in the height of a man. The author of the project was the management company that initiated the installation of a series of sculptures in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia.

The project involved the design, monumental art, workers of culture and art. Monument janitor was made by the sculptor Halit Galiullina, and made in the town of Zhukovsky. The collective image of the janitor there is even a name – damask. The desire to betray Ufa memorable features to attract the attention of tourists, to raise the aesthetic taste of the population and at the same time to instill respect for the hard work of a janitor - the main goal of the project.

Immortalized daily janitor meets the expectations of the authors of the project: within a relatively short period of time, the sculpture has become a favorite attraction not only for visitors, but also the pride of the indigenous population. Often tourists ask local janitors to line up with the monument to give photos a more unusual and memorable look.
