Suninstall - Austrian city located in the Federal state of Upper Austria, is a member of the district of vöcklabruck. The history of this land dates back to the Celts, who founded a settlement called Tergolape ("small market on the water") on the site of modern Swannsmart. The first documentary mention of the city was done in the year 788. In later centuries, Suninstall becomes economic, cultural, sports and educational center.
The city was repeatedly occupied during the Napoleonic wars. Since 1918 Suninstall became part of Upper Austria.
Currently in the city there are 2 kindergartens, 1 primary school, sports and music schools. In 2006 began the construction of a bypass road which will be connected to the A1 motorway, located 8 kilometers from the city.
In the center of the city there are some beautiful mansions built in the Baroque and Renaissance. Many buildings were destroyed by fires that occurred repeatedly in Suninstall. One of the main attractions is the city hall, its beautiful courtyard and situated within the walls of the Museum. In front of city hall is the well of the 13th century.
The Roman Catholic parish Church, built in neo-Gothic style in the early 20th century, the bell tower has a height of 78 meters, which is visible from almost any city point. The Church spire is a symbol of Swannsmart. The Church is a late Gothic statue of the virgin Mary, the relief of the 15th century "Lamentation of Christ" and the statues of the apostles of the 18th century in the Baroque style.
