The Treasury of the Hofburg is the largest Treasury in the world, is part of the collection of the Habsburgs, is part of the art history Museum and is located in the Hofburg. In the Treasury you can log in the Swiss court, which received its name in honor of the Swiss guard guarding once Empress Maria Theresia.

In 1556, the court antiquary, was appointed Jakola Strada – art from Nuremberg, which on behalf of Emperor Ferdinand I began to manage the Imperial Treasury.
