The Museum of sacred art is located in the building Viseu Cathedral, a beautiful Romanesque building. The Museum's collection is on several floors, but most exposures are concentrated in the Chapter House, whose walls are decorated with paintings from tile Azulejos in the style of the XVIII century, depicting scenes of battles and hunting scenes from life.

Among the artifacts in the House of the Chapter, presented two Golden coffer from Limoges XVIII century, made of ivory the monstrance end of the XV century, the gospel of the XII century, two chalices of gold and silver of the XVII century, and illuminated manuscript on parchment of the XIII-XIV century.
