Art center of Marc Chagall was established in 1992. Not by chance the choice of the building – a monument of architecture of XIX century. This red two-story house Marc Chagall has painted his famous painting "Above the City".

Works by Marc Chagall art center, the artist's daughter IDA Chagall and his granddaughter. They gave only 96 of the work signed by the master. Other work transferred from private collections. The formation of collections of the art centre was provided by the collector Henry Mandel from the city of Irrel (Germany), who gave not only the work of Marc Chagall, but also books on contemporary art, on the basis of which it opened a research library for the study of modern art. Currently the library has more than 3000 books, most of which are unique.

In the art center has a unique collection of works of the artist: more than 300 copies of lithographs, woodcuts, etchings, aquatint Marc Chagall. The pride of the Museum is the artist's illustrations to Nikolai Gogol's "Dead souls", colored lithograph from the series "the Bible", the famous series of lithographs "12 tribes of Israel".

The art center seeks the promotion of contemporary visual art. In the halls of the art center not only has a permanent exhibition of works by Marc Chagall, but also exhibitions of other contemporary artists, both Belarusian and foreign, literary evenings, meetings with prominent people in the art world and other interesting activities.

The Museum is located on two floors. The first floor has a permanent exhibition of graphics by Marc Chagall (etchings, lithographs), on the second floor – the rest of the exhibition and held at the art center of contemporary art exhibitions.
