Yaroslavl state Philharmonic society is one of the leading concert organizations of the Yaroslavl region. Every year it acquaints its visitors with the musical works of different years, genres and styles. The history of ALL back more than 70 years – it was founded in 1937. It was at this time I have any professional concert organization, prompted by the orchestra of folk instruments under the direction of honored artist of Russia Evgeny Mikhailovich of Stonelea and some chamber pop group.

During the great Patriotic war brigades formed in Yaroslavl, has performed over 1000 concerts in the rear and at the front. Of these groups special popularity enjoyed Volga song and dance ensemble.

In 1944 the Director Alexander E. Umansky was founded Yaroslavl Symphony orchestra. Subsequently with him many times gave concerts eminent conductors as Yuri Fayer, Yuri Simonov, Nikolai Rabinovich, Boris Temirkanov. With the symphonic orchestra of the Philharmonic worked for famous artists, among them celebrated pianists – Alexander Goldenweiser, Emil Gilels, Maria Yudin, violin – David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan, Gidon Kremer, singers, Galina Vishneve, Elena Obraztsova, Alexander Vedernikov and others.

Concert hall of ALL was the place where was held the first shows of the Second Concerto for violin and orchestra Tikhon Khrennikov (1975, soloist – Leonid Kogan) and the oratorio Alexander Let "Immortality" (1970).

Long time listeners here welcomed pop group "Yaroslavl guys" chamber ensemble "Baroque", the pianist, Nedda, Asian – the deserved artist of the Russian Federation, twice laureate Sobinov prize.

Currently as part of the Yaroslavl state Philharmonic society – several teams, among them – the Yaroslavl academic Symphony orchestra, ensemble of Russian folk instruments "Golden domes", Philharmonic choir autumn, the ensemble of Russian folk instruments "Serpentine", the group "What do you want? ". The soloists of the Philharmonics – Faith Dobrolyubova – people's artist of Russia, Anatoly Kolbesen – Honored artist of Russia, Alexander Sukhanov, Albina Khripkova, Sergey and Natalia Sorokin. In addition, on the stage you can see the masters of artistic word – Eleanor Volgina – the Deserved artist of Russia Lev Emilevich – Honored artist of Russia, Nina Tokarev.

An important place in the posters is the international organ festival of a name of Leonid Roizman, festival "Transformation", held in conjunction with the Yaroslavl Museum-reserve, concerts Yuri Bashmet is" in the cities of Yaroslavl region and many others. In the concerts of the festival of Yuri Bashmet perform the famous musicians from St. Petersburg, Moscow and other Russian cities and foreign countries – flutist James Galway from the UK, violinist Vadim Repin from Russia, soloists of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mariinsky theatre and others.

The repertoire of the Philharmonic presents a variety of genres: bard song, children's concerts, vocal music, jazz, chamber music, romances, folk music, recitals and so on.

Concert season 2012/2013 for ALL was the anniversary, the Philharmonic celebrated its 75th anniversary.
