Zagreb zoo is located in the capital of Croatia and is one of three zoos in the country. The zoo of Zagreb, Park Maksimir. Only in the zoo, the Croatian capital contains 275 species of animals presented 2225 individuals.

The Zagreb zoo presents these rare and interesting species: snow leopard, red Panda, Okapi, antelope, ADDAX, Gemsbok, chimpanzee, Diana monkey, bison, pygmy hippopotamus, camel, etc.

Zagreb zoo was opened 17.06.1925 year. Its founder was Mijo Filipovic, a former Croatian water engineer and fond of philately. Since 1990, the zoo was reconstructed.
