The funerary complex of Sultan Ascope Turbesi is located inside the fortress of Alanya, a hundred metres from Suleymaniye mosque. It was built in 1230 by specifying Ascope Turbesi the first commander of the fortress under Sultan the Aladdin Keykubat I. the complex was of stone, and the dome and the interior walls are covered with bricks. The building having the shape of a square, consisted of two areas directly tombs of the Sultan Ascope Turbesi and mescita. In the tomb the tomb is a long.
Here are three more tombs. Most likely, the apse of mescita was previously covered with faience. It is an image with a caption that reads: "Only God knows the secrets of heaven and earth. Homes for the victims of prayers to Allah build only those who truly believe in Him and in the onset of judgment day. The building was built in 1230, during the reign of requesting the favor of Allah the great Sultan Aladdin, the poor slave Ascope". On the pedestal, a few meters from mescita, is the minaret, which has a cylindrical shape, made of brick. Until the present time has reached only a part of the minaret to the balcony.
Even in the rock, on which is located the tomb, hollowed three additional ancient tombs, the length of each of them is two meters. From the extant sources it is known that they were used in later periods as repositories for water.
A kind of symbol of the complex are arranged in the salons and in the garden receptacles for the ashes. These vessels are for the most part are products of local origin that had been spread in the region of Cilicia. They were made of limestone and are associated with the burial ceremony. Knowing how hard it is to make a grave in the rocky terrain, the locals were forced to burn the bodies of the dead, and the ashes placed in a special container, made of limestone, of which there were many in the area. They say that they believed that the burning of the dead was to bring his friends the immortality and at the same time showed respect for the dead. Vessels were made in different sizes and belonged mostly to the Roman and Byzantine periods. The shape of the vessels resemble a sarcophagus and its lid like a saddle.
