The Church of St. Florentin, which is located on the banks of the Loire, is another highlight of Amboise, associated with the name of famous citizen – artist, inventor and scientist Leonardo da Vinci.

Leonardo da Vinci died in may 1519 in the château du Clos lucé and bequeathed to bury him in the Church of St. Florentin, which also buried the rich and noble citizens and government officials.
