National Museum of fine arts and sculpture is located next to the ethnographic Museum. The Museum contains a collection of works by Turkish artists, from the 19th century to the present day. Also it often hosts exhibitions from other museums.
The house where the Museum is located, was transferred to the administration of the Vilayet of Ankara Hafiz Mehmet nurettin Karaguzel and was restored by the Second administration of the Vilayet. 1 April 1997 it was opened as a private Museum. It presents works that shed light on ethnographic and historical features of this site, as well as the works related to the Roman, Vizantiiskoy and the Ottoman Empire. It also presents modern masterpieces of art and sculpture.
Today the Museum is a center of art, which showcases the most outstanding works of artists who have played an important role in the development of Turkish culture.
