Clock tower is one of the most mysterious attractions of Antalya. The structure of reddish-brown stone is located at the intersection of Clock and Hasapi, in the South-Eastern edge of the quarter Kaleici near karaalioglu Park. The tower dominates the southern part of the city's Bay.

The architectural features of the tower indicate that the building was started in the 2nd century ad, when the land was inhabited by the Romans. Its true purpose still remains one of the mysteries. Today there are several versions of destiny tower. Some scientists claim that the building played the role of a lighthouse, because thanks to its location, it is very well visible from the sea and could serve as a guide. Moreover, from this point perfectly clear what ships entering the harbour. Other historians tend to think that the building served a defensive function. The tower is located on a cliff and could be a Bastion to protect the city. More recently, the hypothesis that the tower was the tomb of a Roman official and his family. At this point scientists gave a huge block of stone square shape, which is located inside the tower, and the architecture of the tower is very reminiscent of Roman mausoleums. On the inner walls there are remains of frescoes, judging by these fragments, the tower was used for religious purposes during the Byzantine period.

The height of the building is about 13, 5 meters. The tower wall was built of large stone blocks. According to ancient descriptions of this tower, before the roof was pointed and was probably demolished during the reign of the Byzantine Empire during reconstruction. Traces of restoration works within the era of the Seljuks and the Ottomans still remained at the top of the tower. The massive tower has a square base and a cylindrical upper part. The entrance is on the East side. The rectangular door is a small room with a narrow staircase that leads to the second floor.

Clock is considered as one of the greatest architectural finds on the coast of Antalya. This building is striking in its grandeur and Majesty. In addition, the tower offers breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding countryside. In these days of Clock tower surrounded by restaurants and cafes with panoramic views of the Gulf of Antalya and within its walls is a small theatre.
