The Church of Saint Peter (Saint-Pierre) in Avignon is located on one of Central squares of the city - place Saint-Pierre. The first Church building was erected in the seventh century. The building, which guests of the city you see today was built in the first half of the XIV century. The restoration work was carried out at the expense of cardinal Pierre des Prés. The facade of the Church is decorated in the later flamboyant Gothic style, which is characterized by a large amount of jewelry, its shape reminiscent of long flames.
