Regional Philharmonic hall in Birobidzhan is the center of art and culture on the territory of the Jewish Autonomous region. It is here that sold the most interesting creative projects, actively supported by the Department of culture of the government of the Autonomous region. This institution is located at Prospekt 60-letiya USSR.

The regional Philharmonic society was founded in 1977 At that time the members of the troupe took several small rooms in the local Palace of culture.

Project architects headed Agafonov was implemented in 1984 thanks to the efforts of local construction workers trust "Birobidzhanstroy". Regional Philharmonic includes dressing rooms, offices and rehearsal rooms, a spacious concert hall with 700 seats, which is equipped with modern light and sound system and video projection.

Today the Philharmonic troupe works of 60 artists of different genres - instrumental, vocal, spoken. Also operates two ensembles: vocal-instrumental trio, which is headed by Vladlena Lagunova, and "jazz Quartet", working under the direction of Vyacheslav Karbysheva.

The creative team is actively working on educational projects. The main one is the music Lyceum in terms of which a seven concerts a month. As for musical and literary programs, they are designed for a different age. Subjects are quite varied: a literary-musical composition creativity Dunayevsky and A. Pushkin, musical fairy tale "the Turnip", "boldly buzzing Fly", lecture-concerts "Magic strings" and "Romance quivering sounds", "Introduction to jazz" and so on.

Currently regional Philharmonic society organizes different festivals of Slavic and Jewish cultures, is engaged in tours of known Russian and foreign professional ensembles and soloists.
