National Park Noel-Kempff-the Mercado is the pride and heritage of the whole of the Amazon basin. It is located in the northeastern part of the country. In size, it is one of the largest in the world, with 1, 5 million hectares. Of course, such a vast territory is represented in several ecosystems. This wooded savanna, and mountain, the evergreen Amazonian forests. The rich flora and fauna of the tropics, wooded savannas, rocky cliffs and waterfalls will leave no one indifferent. Scientists believed that the geological age of this area is over a billion years. The Park was named after the famous Professor Noel Kempff Mercado, who devoted his entire life to the study of wildlife and the study of the history of the reserve. In 2000, the national Park was included in the UNESCO list of world heritage of humanity.
