Brisbane forest Park is today part of the national Park D Aguilar, located on the eponymous mountain range at the Western end of Brisbane. A large nature reserve lies in the basin of Enoggera near the nature reserve "mount coot-TA".

In the Park are the origins of several waterways in the region, including the South pine river, Enoggera Creek, gold Creek, Moggill Creek, and a tributary of Gap Creek, Cabbage Creek and cedar Creek. Here are the lake Manchester dam gold Creek and Enoggera.
