The fisherman's Bastion Photo: Fisherman's Bastion

A section of the ramparts that protect the Matthias Church from the side of the Danube, traditionally guarded by fishermen shop. On this site in 1901, was built and designed in neo-Romanesque Fishermen's Bastion, which offers wonderful views of the Danube and pest. In one of the yards of the Bastion there is a statue of king Stephen the Saint, and the other is the Hilton hotel, in an ensemble which fits the medieval monastery of the Dominicans. Wives of fishermen in the middle ages were selling their products here, and now you will see vendors of Souvenirs, musicians.
