One of the most interesting attractions of Chuvashia, where widely shown cultural and historical heritage of the Republic, is the Museum of natural economy of the Chuvash peasant, located 70 kilometers from Cheboksary, in the Eastern part of Yadrinsky district. In the ethnocultural composition of the Museum consists of fourteen villages, the main farmstead is situated in the village of Upper Acaci.
The Museum was established in 1983 on the initiative of the Chairman of the local farms for preservation of culture, history, work skills and crafts of the Chuvash people. In September 1993, the cultural-historical Museum was awarded the title of "people's Museum".
The Museum is a few farmsteads Chuvash with all elements of the natural economy of the 18th - early 20th century. In compound consists of several wooden buildings: residential house, shack, barn, bathhouse, barn and large garden. National peculiarity of the Chuvash houses are wooden sculptures, amulets symbolizing prosperity and wealth. Near the farmstead there are plots, where the old sow and cultivate rye and flax. In the yard provides tools and household items Chuvash peasant 18-19 centuries. The exposition of the Museum includes traditional clothing Chuvash peoples and national jewelry. In the old hut, you can watch and participate in the process of making bread and rustic beer, and enjoy yourself in the skill of home weaving. In a cozy house you can taste the Chuvash national dishes.
In the Museum of the natural economy of the Chuvash peasant regularly hosts various exhibitions of folk art, festivals of folk art. Tour groups meet the members of the folk band "Viral" in the Chuvash clothes.
