Oludeniz in Turkish – "Dead sea". This famous resort is so beautiful that many people call it "God's gift to the world." Beautiful Bay, which amazes visitors with its beauty, surrounded by pine forests. This place is the most welcoming to yachts and ships. In a quiet harbour, where, due to the presence of the spit, no high waves, the water surface is always calm.

Oludeniz beach is the most beautiful and popular tourist beach in Turkey and is now a National Park. That's why on the shore of the Bay there is not one of them the construction in this place banned to preserve the uniqueness of the local nature. Hotels are located in the little nearby valley. Almost a third of the water surface of the Bay covers a sandy spit, forming almost a closed reservoir, which the Turks called Oludeniz, later the name of the Bay spread to the entire area. It is forbidden to ride on boats, so the water are particularly transparency and crystal clarity. Large cliffs surround the Bay and create unique bizarre landscape.

To get to the lagoon you will overcome 15 km on the road from Fethiye, lined with pine trees. The road leads up and down, and You will have some tired, when suddenly You will see unusually blue sea. On the way to Oludeniz be sure to visit the small mountain village Oracca. There you can stay overnight in one of our cosy guest houses, and even make the mountain crossing. In the town of Hisaronu are hotels for every taste and budget. A Ghost town Kayakoy is located four kilometers from Hersony, in his old houses for a long time nobody lives, and the churches open their doors to their congregations. Byzantine ruins are worth a visit on Gemiler island. From Oludeniz can be reached by boats which depart daily from Fethiye.

Staying in ölüdeniz is around Belcekiz beach. There is a lovely beach, and the temperature of the water allows you to swim there more than ten months in a year. The turquoise color of the sea seems incredible, in addition, there is absolutely no waves. In this area a lot of good hotels and pubs. The name of the Bay Belcekiz is associated with an interesting legend about the great love between a sailor and a local girl. In those days the ships sailed past the Harbor, stopped here to replenish fresh water. The sailors reached the shore from the ships that were at anchor in the open sea, on boats. Once the young son of the captain went ashore to fetch water and met Belcekiz. The girl was very beautiful and handsome young man who fell in love at first sight, reciprocated. But the son of the captain was bound to return to the ship. The ship has sailed, and the girl looked after her lover. The lovers could see each other only when the ship passed these places and a young sailor sailed on the boat for water. Once, when the ship again sailed past the Bay was a heavy storm. The young man tried to persuade his father to go to the Bay, knowing that there is always calm water and you can wait out the elements. Unfortunately, the old captain thought that the son is ready to smash the ship on the rocks just for the sake to see my girlfriend. Storm intensified, the dispute between the son and father were gaining momentum. The captain was seriously angry, and seeing that the ship was carried by the waves right on the cliff, the impact threw the boy overboard. The captain clung to the helm and brought the ship from the rocks, at the same moment he saw a Bay with calm water. But the waves were absorbed by the young man. Belcekiz did not wait beloved. She could not stand the separation and jumped into the sea from a cliff. Since then, the Bay where the drowned girl, is called Belcekiz, and the place where he died is her favorite, is called the Dead sea. As if fearing such a tragic end to the evening sea changes its color and becomes purple.

The forest area surrounding the harbour, called the Park "Kadrak Tabiat". It takes about 950 hectares. This Park is a conservation area. Under guard the entire beach of the Dead sea and it is very strictly controlled construction.

Oludeniz is the best place for paragliding. This is facilitated by the beautiful landscapes and mountainous terrain. Especially popular descents by parachute from the slopes of Babadag mountain, which reaches a height of 1975 meters.
