Old Opera is one of the most famous buildings in Frankfurt. It was opened in 1880. On the building you can read the motto "the True, the beautiful, the good". Opera built in neo-Renaissance style, as evidenced by the double pediment, similar to the Greek portico, and the many statues on the roof.

During the Second world war the building was almost completely burned down, but was rebuilt and is now a place for all kinds of congresses and conferences.
