International Museum of the reformation - the Museum located in the old part of the city of Geneva and informing about the history of the reformation in the 14th thematically arranged exhibitions. The area occupied rooms - 350 sq. m.
Drawing on archival documents and a collection of paintings, the Museum offers a detailed chronicle of the history of the reformation from its origins up to the present time. Here you can see the collection of manuscripts, engravings, and even cartoons. Especially valuable exhibit is a French Bible, which was printed in 1535.
International Museum of the reformation receives over 25,000 visitors a year.
Professor Oliver Patio, Museum founder took care of the scientific content of the shows. The Museum is also used audio-visual equipment to display different themes for example, you can listen to the execution of the Huguenot Psalms, Lutheran chorales, etc.
Put on display objects and documents come from a variety of sources, including from the library of Geneva, urban Protestant churches and numerous private donors.
