The small Church of Santa Ana is located in the centre of Granada, Plaza Nueva, next to the Royal Chancellery at the foot of the Alhambra. This Church was built in 1537 under the project of the famous architect and painter of the time of Siloam Diego. Like many other churches built in that period, the Church of Santa Ana was built on the site of a former mosque al-Yama Almanzora. The entrance is decorated with three beautiful sculptures made by master Diego Aranda and arranged in three compartments. Above them is a beautiful round locket or Tondo with a relief depicting the virgin Mary with the infant.

The Church of Santa Ana is a structure in which a surprising combination of styles, typical of Moorish architecture and Renaissance architecture.
