Mount Pelion is considered one of the most beautiful places of Greece. In fact, it's a mountain range, forming a small Peninsula in a wonderfully scenic location between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean sea. In recent decades, this region has become a very popular tourist center. Coastal resorts with developed infrastructure and excellent beaches, snow-capped peaks of Pelion and its picturesque slopes covered in dense vegetation, picturesque mountain villages, as well as the many interesting attractions every year attract more and more tourists from all over the world.

Particularly popular in Pelion and ski enthusiasts. Here, at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, about 27 km from Volos (capital of the Prefecture of MAGNISIA) and 2 km from Chania there is a famous Greek resort Agriolefkes. It was founded in 1967 and is one of the oldest ski centres in Greece.

Agriolefkes has four main routes (red), a track for beginners (green), and cross-country skiing trail, with a length of 5 km. the Center is equipped with five great modern lifts (including children) that fully comply with current European standards. In the rental, you can rent all the necessary special equipment and qualified coaches will help you to learn skiing and snowboarding (offered both group and individual classes).

Given that here the hotels are simply unable to accept all comers, to be taken care of in advance. However, can be accommodated in a nearby Chania or in the nearby Makrinitsa and Portaria. The center also has restaurants, cafes, a medical center, a weather station, an Observatory and three Parking lots with a capacity of over 800 cars.

As a ski resort Agriolefkes is open from early December to late March. In the summer period are very popular sports such as mountain Biking, horse riding, mountaineering, etc.
