The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum – one of the main attractions of Hanoi. On weekends, there is formed a long queue of people wishing to visit the resting place of the leader of the Vietnamese people.
The massive construction made of grey stone, dominating the square Bading, was built in 1973 on the site of a festive rostrum where the President welcomed the festive demonstration. On the front of the Mausoleum inscribed with the words “Tu Tich Ho Chi Minh,” which means “President Ho Chi Minh”. Inside the Mausoleum in a glass sarcophagus lies the body of Ho Chi Minh, clad in a faded khaki suit and simple Slippers.
In 1958, Ho Chi Minh built his house, refusing to offer a stay in a luxurious Palace. This house was built on stilts in lacquered and polished wood and decorated very modestly. Now it is a Museum. On the first floor you can see the hall, where was held the meeting of the Politburo, and the second bedroom and private office Ho Chi Minh.
