The forbidden Purple city (Tu Cam Thanh) is a complex of palaces, intended for members of the Royal family and Imperial concubines. On the territory of the Forbidden city was allowed even eunuchs and doctors.

Two-storey library (Thai Binh Lau) was partially restored. Nearby you can see the Foundation of the Royal theatre (Suen thi Duong), founded in 1826 and later placed in the National Conservatory.

In one of the buildings preserved fragments of wall paintings, old photos and a collection of Imperial silk robes.
