The Church of St. Michael the Archangel is an architectural masterpiece, located in the southern part of the city Svaliava, in the neighborhood Fast. This is the old, original building never ceases to bewitch their perfect shapes and perfect proportions, even despite such a venerable age.

The temple in the Lemko style was erected in 1588 on the hill above the present and consecrated in the name of Archangel Michael. To its present location, the Church was moved in 1630 at the request of local residents. The temple was partially rebuilt in 1759, giving it the appearance that can be seen today. This can be considered as the year of revival of the Church. After rebuilding the hipped roof of the nave and built the altar of the frame received in the arches. High tower with Baroque completion, a sharp increase from the low altar to the tower and open gallery around the pews with carved columns indicate Lemko origin. The temple was built of oak wood, and laid the Foundation stone with clay mortar.

The interior was upgraded too, but well preserved iconostasis of the second half of the EIGHTEENTH century Luxury openwork carving stand out the Royal doors with painted and gilded elements.

Since the late 40-ies of XX century the Church of St. Michael the Archangel was closed. The service resumed from the beginning of 90-ies In 2001 to the feast of the Holy Eucharist in the place where originally stood for Michael's Church was erected and consecrated a large cross. Unfortunately, he was then disassembled single wooden bell tower, successfully complementing the Church ensemble. Nearby is an ancient cemetery with a beautiful metal and stone crosses.
