The border lands Museum is located in picturesque surroundings near the town of Kirkenes. Its exposition is devoted to the Second world war, Sami culture and the creation of a mining company Sydvaranger AS. Several exhibitions acquaint visitors with nature, culture and history of the border with Russia in the municipality of Sør-Varanger.
In the Museum on the Second world war, reflected the perception of this event by the Norwegians. For example, in neighboring Finland, hard to find exhibits showing its cooperation with the Soviet troops.
