Narzan gallery in Kislovodsk is an outstanding monument of architecture. It is situated on the Avenue of Karl Marx, near the entrance to the holiday Park. The gallery was built in 1848 under the direction of architect Samuel Upton.
The two-storey building in the style of Gothic romanticism in its form resembles a keyhole. The facade is decorated with turrets and arches. Central to the gallery is the source of Seltzer. Originally the Northern part of the building rented room under the "aliens".
The first wooden well around the source of Seltzer was built in 1823. Next to him was a tent made of canvas that protected visitors from the scorching sun and weather. Thirty years later, count S. S. Vorontsov was invited from England architect Upton, for the construction of a covered gallery, which will connect between a source and baths. Wooden well around the source was replaced by a stone and was surrounded by bars. Originally, people were scooping water from the pool, built in the form of a funnel. Later Narzan source was covered with a glass dome, and the walls of the well equipped spigot from which water flowed. Due to the fact that Seltzer oxygen-enriched and foaming water, the well is called "Boiling".
It is worth noting that the gallery has come down to us almost intact. "Boiling well" today plays a decorative role - healing they get water from the pump room in the gallery. This drinking water - Narzan sulphate, dolomite and Zhelyabovsky. Sulfate Seltzer, as the name implies, is rich in sulphates – this water is most often used to treat. Dolomite Seltzer is characterized by high salinity, which helps flush toxins from the body. And Zhelyabovsky has excellent taste.
