Bobrenev the monastery is not far from Kolomna and was founded, according to legend, Prince Dmitry Donskoy and his Governor D. M. Babacom-Volhynia, after the victory on Kulikovo field. Structures of those years were not preserved, as in the XVIII century the monastery was rebuilt the monastery became the country residence of the Kolomna bishops.
At the end of XVIII century was built as a Baroque columns and the Cathedral of the Nativity of the virgin. Its belfry is made in the traditional architectural style of the seventeenth century. Later winter Theodore Church (1860 year built), and a year later - cell and urgent housing. Stone wall, with towers in the style of Russian Gothic revival, also built in the late XVIII century.
From the South gate, made in the form of a triumphal arch, offers a picturesque view of the Moscow river and the surrounding area.
The monastery was finally liquidated in 1930, and the building given to the farm, then abandoned. Re-opened in 1992.
