In a rocky area of the Alps called Dinara is located lovćen national Park, which occupies 6220 acres. Its boundary on the South adjacent to the highway Budva - Cetinje, and from the North to the old road to Kotor. Administration Lovcen can be found in the city of Cetinje. In 1952, the Park was given National status.
It seamlessly coexists great diversity of fauna and flora, for which 9 objects selected to represent each environment separately. All this is due to the fact that in this area harmoniously combines two climatic zones: continental and Mediterranean. In the Park Lovcen you can see not only the beauty of nature of this region, but also to consider the world-famous landmarks: one of the mountain lakes, Ivanovo Trough the village and the Mausoleum Njegusi, the Church of the Transfiguration, etc.
The construction of the Mausoleum began in 1855 Lovcen in honor of the Bishop, whose name is Petar II Njegusi, bequeathed to bury his body in this place. 461 stage tourists have to overcome to get into the Mausoleum itself, which since 1974 is open to everyone.
