MAGURA national Park is located in South-Eastern Poland, close to Slovakia, on the border of the małopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships. The Park occupies a large part of the basin Wislocki, extends to the mountains Vackova the altitude of 847 m above sea level, captures the top MAGURA, velká góra. The total area of the national Park to date is 194, 39 sq. km. the name of the Park was given to the array of MAGURA, which is the second highest peak in the reserve.

More than 90% of the Park territory is covered by forests, which are dominated by pine. There are also meadows, pastures and marshes. The Park is home to nearly 800 species of plants and 200 species of animals. Among the 59 species of plants, 12 included in the Polish Red book. Here you can see barberry, fern, French rose, garlic, Orchid, Siberian iris, Golden lilies, snowdrops and other. In Park is home to over 57 species of mammals: bears, moose, wolves, wild cats, lynxes, beavers, deer, bats, muskrat, otter, raccoon dogs.

The average annual temperature in this area is about +6°C. rainfall ranges from 800-900 mm(the highest rainfall occurs in July).
