The Church of Sør-fron is a majestic octagonal stone Church in the style of Louis XVI. It is located 70 km North of Lillehammer. In common parlance it has been called “the Temple Gudbrandsdal”.

The Cathedral was built in 1787 Sven Uspacom on the site of the old Church in the parish of front and consecrated in 1792, the Church can accommodate up to 750 people.

The Department in Sør-fron is older than the Church itself. It was created in 1703 by the sculptor Lars Borg Jensen. Altarpiece, painted by Frederick Petersen, shows the Crucifixion of Christ and the cases described in the gospel of John.
