High Castle is one of the highest points in the city of Lviv (413 meters above sea level) and one of the most romantic parks of this city. The High castle Park is located on the Castle hill. It is noteworthy that with the mention of this mountain dates back to the first legend of Lviv in the Chronicles dates back to 1256.

Today from the castle that once existed on the mountain and served as an important defensive point, with only a portion of the wall in the South-East. Now it's just a beautiful Park where you can relax in the shade of ancient trees. It consists of two tiers. The first tier is a garden area where you can leisurely stroll through the alleys. If you look at the gaps between the trees, you can see a beautiful view of the city. It is a favorite place for townspeople and visitors alike, especially in hot weather. Here is the monument to Maxim Krivonos, who with the help of troops of Bohdan Khmelnytsky once took possession of the fortress. No less interesting will be to visit an artificial grotto, the entrance to which is guarded by lions from the old town hall. It was created in 1841.

The upper tier is an artificial mound, on which is an observation deck. It is noteworthy that the mound was used the remains of the fortress and nearby houses that finally destroyed the castle. Here you can admire the beautiful panorama of the city from height of bird's flight. On top of the High castle is an observation deck, where for tired Wanderers have thoughtfully placed benches. In 1957, at the top of Castle hill was built a television station that capped a TV tower with a height of two hundred meters.
