The house-Museum of Lope de VEGA is located almost in the heart of Madrid. This is the house where the great poet, writer and playwright, the brightest star of the Golden age of Spain, lived for the last 25 years of his life.

Felix Lope de VEGA carpio was born in Madrid in 1562 in a family of artisans. Here he spent his childhood and youth, there was a fire at the star of his genius. Not having graduated from University, Lope de VEGA had to leave Madrid. To return to the hometown of the writer was only 10 years later. Your house the writer has acquired in 1610, settled there with his family and lived there until his death.
