Eldams Park, occupying an area of 45 hectares, is one of the most unusual parks in Northern Europe, thanks to its neoclassical design. The process of creating and planning this kind of Park occurred in several stages. The pond, located here, was originally the city's aquifer malmö, founded in 1600 years. Therefore, before the establishment of this Park, the area around the reservoir was a green area planted with willows.

Creating Eldams Park was dedicated to the Baltic exhibition, which took place in 1914. Famous architect Ferdinand Boberg developed the project of the exhibition area with the participation of the then crown Princess Margareta. Baltic exhibition, which presented the latest technology, was a huge success and attracted about one million visitors.

After the exhibition of the Danish landscape designer Estado Jorgensen were invited to complete the construction Eldams Park in the romantic style of English parks, with smooth lines and large lawns. This project was implemented in 1915 at the other end of the pond.

In 1926 the plan Eldams Park was again revised, and the rest of the Park has acquired a classic form. The resulting relatively large scale of the Park, consisting of two parts arranged around a Central point - area, whose diameter is 160 meters. For several years in Eldams Park added a new sculpture. And in 1999, the Park was decorated with dancing fountains.
