The Corones is a picturesque mountain village in the northeastern part of the Greek island of Naxos. The settlement is located on the slopes of mount Coronion Oros (the second highest peak of the island), at an altitude of 500-600 m above sea level, about 36 km from the administrative center of the island of Naxos town (Chora). Residents Corones are engaged mainly in farming, agriculture and grape growing.

The Corones is one of the oldest and most beautiful mountain villages of the island. Near the Corones and is the world's largest Deposit of emery, known since ancient times.
