Thermal tract "Pym-VA-Shor" ("the stream of hot water" is translated from Komi) is located on the border of the Republic of Komi and the Arkhangelsk region. It is located in the basin of the river Ajiva. "Pym-VA-Shor" from 2000 has the status of a specially protected natural area.
The name of this site is borrowed from the name of the Creek, which is located here. The total area of the natural monument 2, 425 thousand hectares. This includes the complex of 8 mineral and thermal springs, artificial structures, archaeological sites. The temperature of the warm springs – 20, 3-28, 5°, cool – 1, 2-6°. All winter springs free from snow and ice even when severe frosts, it allows individual plants to keep growing and winter.
This complex natural monument was created to preserve and monitor the status of biological diversity in natural areas, which includes relict and rare species of fauna and flora, as well as thermal springs.
Complex natural monument is located in the place where the streams Pym-VA-Shor and der-shore flow into the river Ajiva. These streams as if cut through the mountain range of the Chernyshev ridge, which is parallel to Ajive and has a length of 5-6 km in the der-shore flows in a deep narrow canyon, water falls cascading waterfalls. 5 km from the mouth Pym-VA-Shor cut into the Carboniferous limestone, forming cliffs. Thermal springs pouring out of the cracks of rocks left side of the valley. Their waters are dominated by bicarbonate and calcium chloride sodium. The composition of the water – sodium chloride, the degree of mineralization is 2, 1-3, 5 g/l, so these waters are of type treatment table. In water sources detected elevated levels of radon, iodine, radium, bromine and others. Sources have long known herders. Water from them they were treating diseases of the lung, stomach, skin.
Thermomineral sources Pym-VA-Shor represent objects of geological heritage, because it is the only Arctic circle hot springs.
The output of the thermal waters in the valley, and create the particular microclimatic conditions, with spring and summer come much earlier than in the tundra. In early July, when spring is in the tundra is just beginning in the valley of the brook Pym-VA shore this summer. Sites of soil covered with high and thick grass, flowers. Here, in addition there are ordinary dwarf birch.

The age of this layer with finds of bones is 24, 4 thousand + 350 years. In 1952, on the banks of the river Ajiva G. A. Chernov were found two camps belonging to the stone age.
