Museum-the cruiser "Mikhail Kutuzov" - one of the attractions of the city of Novorossiysk. Cruiser, located at Central promenade in the passenger port, is a branch of the Museum of the black sea fleet and a popular place among tourists and locals. "Mikhail Kutuzov" was launched in November 1952 In 1964 he became the first ship on the black sea fleet, which proceeded to perform tasks of combat service in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean sea. From 1955 to 1992, the ship visits to Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania, Algeria and Albania. In June 1967 he was in the war zone, providing assistance to the armed forces of Egypt during the six day war, which, however, did not affect the outcome. From August to December 1968 he completed a combat mission in Syria. 37 years later the cruiser relocated to Novorossiysk, after which it became part of the Novorossiysk naval base as a ship Museum.
