In search of Aviation Museum you need to go to one of the oldest airports of the Czech Republic – Nerhedine located in the vicinity of Olomouc. It is on the basis of the local airport on the initiative of the pilot trainees was a Museum that attracts not only professionals who know about aviation firsthand, but fans of modern and vintage aircraft.

The aviation Museum was created primarily to preserve for posterity the legendary military and civil aircraft, developed in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, but over time, his collection grew due to the appearance of the vehicles, manufactured in the USSR and other countries.

The Museum, which features planes and helicopters, was opened to the public in July 2009. The basis of its collection was the apparatuses belonging to the keen collector Dr. Roman Sperl. He still advises and assists the management of the Museum to fill the exposition.

The aviation Museum of Olomouc, known outside the Czech Republic. Here guests come from all corners of the globe, and many of our compatriots. The Museum staff are people of different professions: mechanics, versed in engines, ex-pilots, engineers, restorers, restoring completely "broken" equipment fans who love the sky in those devices that roam.

In addition to the two hangars, where a collection of aircraft in the Museum collection also includes restoration workshop, which allowed any visitors, and the building of the archive, which are stored historical documents.
