Peninsula Bugle is one of the most visited districts in Oslo, as there are numerous museums: the Norwegian folk Museum under the open sky, the Viking ship Museum, Museum, FRAM Museum and Kon-Tiki".
The oldest of these, the Viking ship Museum, which contains an amazing archaeological artifacts - ancient graceful court, which the ancestors of the Norwegians plied the seas around Europe and crossed the Atlantic to the shores of America, as well as numerous items from Viking graves.
In another Museum, called "FRAM" is stored as the main exhibit ship Fridtjof Nansen, built according to the drawings of the famous polar Explorer specifically for sailing in the harsh Arctic conditions. A quarter century later, another Norwegian Explorer Roald Amundsen sailed on the "FRAM" to the shores of Antarctica and then ski the first people to reach the South pole.
But, perhaps, the most visited Museum - the Museum of "Kon-Tiki". It is a private Museum, owned by Thor Heyerdahl. There are two main exhibit - the raft "Kon-Tiki" and the papyrus boat "RA", where adventurous Norwegian made his famous journey across the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
