One of the most notable attractions in Oslo is the Vigeland Park, or rather a part of Vigilan Park is a Grand creation of the sculptor self-taught Gustav Vigolana (1869-1943). All the expenses for the fulfillment of the dream of the sculptor took over, convincing the authorities in Oslo to give him only a plot of land at Frogner Park. About 43 years Whelan worked on the realization of his dream. As a result on light there was an amazing creation that combines naturalism and symbolism with a realistic interpretation of human life.
Many statues show not only the path that it goes from birth to death, and feelings experienced by each of the generations. Sculpture of a crying, angry boy, one of a thousand other pieces of the ensemble, has become a symbol of Oslo and is depicted on many postcards and Souvenirs.
In the southern part of the Park has two museums – the Museum of Vigolana where you can see about a thousand of his sculptures and 12 thousand drawings, as well as the history Museum of Oslo.
