The inhabitants of Pardubice Church of the virgin Mary Suffering affectionately called Rostelecom. This small, neat Church is located at the intersection of two streets: Stressaway and Dusicka. He has a difficult fate, so he inspires admiration and respect for all members.
The temple was founded in 1710. The customer of construction made Pardubice merchant Jakub antonín Stroke. He developed the project of a new Church and were engaged in its construction of local architect Jakub Pechino. The Church, dedicated to the name of the mother of God who suffered, was built very quickly – within half a year. The temple was on the cemetery and served as the resting place of relatives of the deceased, although it was conducted properly, all services, and local people came there as in a conventional Church.
The cemetery was later destroyed, but the wall that surrounded the churchyard and dated 1715 year, left. Still can be seen near the Church of the virgin Mary Suffering the ancient stonework.
It would have pleased Kostelic of their members, if not for the decree of Emperor Joseph II, according to which a number of temples and monasteries that are not engaged in educational activities, i.e. did not contain the school should be closed. Such a fate was anticipated, and the local Church of our lady of Suffering. It was closed in 1786, he was neglected for years until the building was used as storage for the production woodworking factory.
Only in 2006, the townspeople decided to rebuild the temple, which invited a whole team of architects and designers. Now the Baroque Church once again opened its doors to the faithful. Almost all of the furnishings, which can be seen in this Church is preserved from centuries.
