Quite an interesting mansion is located on the corner Pernstejnem squares and streets of St. Bartholomew. This is Vernerov house built in the Renaissance style and immediately attracts the attention of many tourists. In the XVI century this building housed the first town Hall Pardubice.

Surprising that the town Council was elected this structure. It belonged to one of the most famous "fathers" of the city mayor by the name of Leopold Werner, who also engaged in trade and had a small shop for the manufacture of leather. In honor of his three-storey house at number 116 and received its name. Thus, until the building of the city Hall all city meetings are held at the mayor's house. Here he took an important guests, arranged parties and various formal events. While Leopold Werner was the head of Pardubice, his house was visited by many celebrities who came on official visits: for example, the composer antonín dvořák.

Among the famous descendants of Leopold Werner worth to mention a painter and graphic Ludvika Vazado, famous for his series of paintings, the Central theme of which were horses.

In Vernerov the house could be accessed from Pernstejnem square and the square of Werner, which was located behind this house. In the XX century the mansion was built onto the building in pseudoresistance style, through which it was possible to enter the area of Werner.

In 1969, the house became the property of the state, or rather, was confiscated from the family of Vernerov, which was about to leave for permanent residence in the United States.

In the 70-ies of the last century in this mansion had a major reconstruction and broke for apartments for city officials.
