Natural ecological Museum of Polotsk is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The original location of the Museum - in the former pump house 1953 building is already attracting curious glances. The Museum was opened on 3 September 2005.

The creators of the Museum had proposed the original concept: the Museum is a Tree of Life. The floors of the exposition "strung" on a ladder, symbolizing the connection between all living on the planet. As an epigraph to the Museum were selected word Yuri Bondarev: "Environmental consciousness is a staircase that connects into a single Union of Earth, Sky and Man. Climbing the stairs, the visitor like looks in the collection that are of great importance for Belarus: Belarus – our house – biodiversity of nature of the Republic of Belarus; the Dowry of civilization – the uneasy coexistence of nature and cities; protected area – the story of how a man tries to preserve nature in certain territories. The fourth level is output under clear skies. Viewing platform from which you can explore the city of Polotsk, as a whole – alloy civilization and nature.

People living in cities, with great pleasure and interest to the Museum, showing the life of animals, insects, fish, plants in their native environment. The Museum has great educational value, explaining to the younger generation how important and difficult to keep wildlife and live with her in harmony. Perhaps it is the pagan concept of the tree of Life explains the relation between animate and inanimate nature, and his responsibility as before the ancestors, who gave a precious heritage, and to the descendants, who preserved natural wealth to be transferred.
