Common grave of Bulgarian national heroes – freedom fighters of the country from Turkish invaders located in the city of Ruse. Pantheon figures of the Bulgarian national Revival opened 28.02.1978 on the day of the centenary of the liberation of Bulgaria from many years of oppression Osman. Built on the site of the ruined Church of All Saints.
The size of the monument is 4456 square meters. Inside are a large number of tombstones and statues, the eternal flame burns under the dome covered with gold leaf.
In the Pantheon there are 39 tombs of the most famous ascetics of the liberation movement. Among them, Atanas Uzunov, Olympius Panov, Tom Berdiev, Lyuben Karavelov, Zahari Stoyanov, angel Kanchev, Stefan Karadzha, Nikol Obretenov. Here is the tomb of Thin Obretenova, which has long acquired a mythological features and is a symbolic mother of Bulgarian freedom. On the walls are carved 453 behalf of the revolutionaries and militias. Also here lie the remains of the first teachers of Ruse, which is engaged in educational and scientific activities in the 18th and 19th centuries, among them the Jiang Ginchev, dascal Dragni, dascal Tony, Neil Izvorul, Dragan Tsankov.
When the Pantheon in 2000, a chapel was built. There is also a Museum and an exhibition of documentary exhibits. Visitors can buy Souvenirs and information materials.
Pantheon of national Revival heroes is part of the cultural and historical memory of the city and is included in the sheet of one hundred Bulgarian national tourist sites. Located at the Renaissance square.
