The two-storey house on the street Michurina (formerly Malaya St. Sergius) spent his childhood, adolescence and youth of the Soviet writer Konstantin Simonov. The building where lived the young poet with his parents belonged to the war Department and on the ground floor of a friendly commune was located the families of the military Saratov division. Stepfather Simonova – Alexander Ivanovich Ivanishev, as a member of two warrior and commander of the reserve, taught tactics at the school of retraining command staff that was nearby (the building of the Seminary). Mother Princess Obolenskaya (after marriage change his surname, not advertise aristocratic origin), patiently endured all the hardships of the commander's wife, actively participating in various commissions for assistance.
Konstantin Mikhailovich Simonov (at birth was given the name – Cyril, but if it is impossible clearly to pronounce the sounds "l" and "R" name was arbitrarily changed), in his early years, he became the author of the poems "Suvorov" and "the Ice", in a time of war in all theaters in the country were staged plays: "the Guy from our city", "Russian people". Nationwide fame and love came to this after the release of the collection of poems, when people are far from poetry quoted in letters from the front lines of "Wait for me". Already in peacetime Konstantin Mikhailovich began to publish novels that have become classics, subsequently released to the big screen with legendary actors.
In Saratov except at home writer there is a monument and a memorial plaque on the building of the vocational school where I studied when young Simonov. In Moscow, Mogilev and Gulkevichi in his honor called the streets. In 1984 he launched the four-deck ship "Konstantin Simonov" in the GDR and there is the same asteroid "2426 Simonov".
After the restoration of the building, where he lived, K. M. Simonov, the new owner became the "Committee on the protection of cultural heritage".
