Outside the fence of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra on the South side are two different from each other, the Church: the Church of the presentation in the temple of the Holy virgin and Martyr Paraskeva. Stone structures date to one year – 1547-mu. Call them "podolny" for the particular location on the hillside near the walls of the monastery.

The Church of presentation is very similar to slender monastery of Holy Spirit, only with the arches, on a high basement floor and no belfry under the head. Window openings, doors, and a plan and even the decoration of the altar ledges - all borrowed from Pskov craftsmen who built the Church of Holy Spirit seventy years earlier. Funds for the construction of the temple were given boyar Ivan Khabarov. The original appearance of the Church was changed. Of the four pillars in 1740, the year has only two as a result of restoration works for the new arch and head on faceted drum. The apses are preserved terracotta frieze, similar to the belt of the spirit Church. Keeled niches complete the walls of the Church.

Pyatnitskaya Church is not as high as Vvedenskaya and more elongated along the horizontal axis, which is typical for churches Sergiev Posad. Critics called this building a cozy and elegant. Carved portal is decorated with the only entrance, located on the West side. He leads the Church through the refectory. And right above the entrance stands an octagonal belfry with a large arched Dormer openings, ending with a small cupola on a faceted drum. Stairs ringing takes place in the wall of the refectory, which relies octagon "kolokolnitsa". Except that wall, the bell tower is supported by two pylons. The Church itself is pillarless with a closed dome. Its bulbous head is located on deep cylindrical reel. The external decoration of the Church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa solemnly. A rather large window openings are rectangular and the refectory is decorated with arched corbel arches and twisted carved half-columns. Thanks to the blades, the walls of the Church is divided into three parts with keel-shaped niches and curb at the end. Decorative belt passing over the top of the walls differs from that of the neighbouring Church of greater complexity. Pyatnitskaya Church came to us almost pristine.

Initially, both churches were parish. During the Polish-Lithuanian siege 1608-1610, they were severely devastated. After both of the temple was repaired, they began to serve as a convent, organized here in the first half of the XVII century. In monastic inventories 1641 here are 13 cells. The monastery ceased to exist, having come into disrepair, 1680-th year. Podolny Church again became a parish. By the end of the nineteenth century all saints parish ceased to exist, becoming a representation of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. In the years of Soviet power the Church again briefly opened its doors to parishioners Sergiev Posad. Since 1928, the service here was not conducted. First, they served as a warehouse, and were then transferred Zagorska Museum-reserve. Laurel Church back in 1991.

On the other side of Moscow road in front of churches Podolny monastery is the Pyatnitsky well with the chapel. According to legend, appeared on the banks of the rivers konchury source through the prayer of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Octagonal Pyatnitskaya the chapel has a dome roof, on which there are two tiers of smaller diameter. Each face of the octagon is equipped with a rectangular window opening with rich trims. Unfortunately, the exact date of construction of the chapel is not known. Architects include the construction by the end of XVII – beginning of XVIII centuries.
