Mosque Kebir-Jami - an outstanding architectural monument of Simferopol, the oldest building in the city. The inscription at the entrance shows that the mosque was built in 1508 After a fire in 1740, the mosque was restored and subsequently rebuilt several times. Last time it was restored in 1995. It is assumed that the white walls of the mosque gave the name to the medieval town of AK-Mechet (White Mosque).
