The ruins of the monastery of St. Saviour are six or seven kilometers North from the town of Sliven, upstream of the Convent of the river. He is one of 24 monasteries, located in a mountainous area near the town of Sliven.

Once the monastery of the Holy Saviour was a small fortress surrounded by a high stone wall. The territory of the monastery was occupied by around 1, 5 hectares. Here was located the Church building. Basilica with a narthex was 13, 5 meters in length and 5.5 m in width. The temple had one large pentagonal and two small triangular apse. The Northern and Eastern side of the fortification wall was located monks ' cells, which were hearths, furnaces and special niches rectangular shape, intended for prayer. In one of them the researchers discovered the cross on which were carved the letters "IC XC NI KA" which means in translation: "Jesus Christ conquers".

As a result of archaeological excavations here were also found Antiques. Among the findings is dominated by painted clay pots and bowls, various coins, bronze clasps for books and more. Scientists found evidence suggests that the monastic complex was built in the late XIII– early XIV century.
