Sopot lighthouse is a navigational tool on the Polish coast of the Baltic sea, located in Sopot. The lighthouse was built in 1903-1904. Currently not fit under the existing criteria, so the lighthouse is not functioning. The lighthouse is open to visitors. The height of the tower is 30 meters, with the picturesque panorama of Sopot and the surrounding area. The lighthouse was built of red brick, the tower has a pyramidal roof. The fixture is fixed to one of the Windows in the East. A beacon of light on seven nautical miles every 4 seconds.
After construction is completed in 1904, the lighthouse worked until the outbreak of the Second world war. In the postwar years, the building of the lighthouse was transferred to the city hospital. In 1975, the infrastructure was upgraded, after which the lighthouse was for a medical facility only an encumbrance. In the eighties of the twentieth century, the lighthouse was restored and included in the list of current Polish lighthouses. Due to the lack of technical reserves soon the lighthouse is obsolete and no longer meet modern requirements. Currently Sopot lighthouse is a tourist attraction in the city.
